place. Here's what to do to confirm and complete the setup:
If DSers isn't yet linked to your Shopify store, open the DSers app from your Shopify admin and follow the on-screen prompts — it will guide you through authorising the connection. You can also go directly to DSers and:
- Log in (or create an account)
- Select Shopify on the platform selection page
- Hit Install in the pop-up to be redirected to Shopify
- Log into Shopify if prompted, then select your Move Bright store
- Select Install app to confirm authorisation
Once connected, your next steps are:
- Source products — browse AliExpress within DSers, import to your Import List, customise titles/images/variants, then push to your Shopify store
- Map existing products — if you already have products in Shopify, import them into DSers via My Products and map them to AliExpress suppliers
- Set up order sync — DSers will automatically pull in new Shopify orders and sync tracking numbers back once fulfilled
The DSers Chrome extension is also worth installing — it lets you import AliExpress products with one click while browsing.
Here's your products page!
Navigate to Products
From there you can select the products you want to remove and delete them in bulk. Let me know when you're done and I can help with the next step.
Here's a quick guide for banner sizing on Shopify:
Hero/Image Banners (full-width)
- Recommended size: 2000 × 800 px (wide and short) — this is the sweet spot for most themes
- For ultra-wide displays, go up to 2500 px wide
- Keep critical content (text, logos) centred in a "safe zone" to avoid cropping on mobile
Key tips:
- Avoid embedding text directly in the image — use the theme editor's text overlay instead, as baked-in text can get cropped or repositioned
- Use simple backgrounds so any overlaid text remains readable
- PNG or JPEG are the best formats; max file size is 20 MB
- Shopify's CDN automatically optimises and compresses images, so upload the highest quality you have
Important caveat: The exact dimensions that look best depend on your specific theme. Some themes have fixed-height banners coded in, so you may need to check your theme editor for height/ratio settings, or set a focal point on the image to control what stays visible when it's cropped on different screen sizes.
For a hero/image banner, the go-to size is 2000 × 800 px. That's the safest fit for most Shopify themes on desktop, with enough resolution to look sharp.
Let me take a look at your store's current setup.
Here's what I can see and what I'd prioritise to improve Move Bright before products go live:
🔴 High priority
- Contact page is empty — it has no content. Add at minimum an email address, a brief intro, and ideally a contact form so customers can reach you
- No About Us page — this is one of the biggest trust signals for a new store. A short story about Move Bright, your mission, and who you serve goes a long way
- Footer is thin — it only has Search and Privacy Choices. Add links to About Us, Contact, Returns/Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy
🟡 Medium priority
- Store policies missing from navigation — Refund, Shipping, and Privacy policies should be easy to find. Shopify can auto-generate these under Settings > Policies
- Main menu is basic — once products are live, replace "Catalog" with specific collection links (e.g. Stress Relief, Sensory Lighting) for better navigation and SEO
- Banner/homepage content — with no products yet, make sure your homepage hero communicates clearly what Move Bright is about and who it's for
🟢 Quick wins
- Add a favicon (your logo/icon) under Online Store > Themes > Theme settings > Favicon
- Set up your brand colours and fonts in the theme settings to match your premium, calming aesthetic
- Make sure your store's SEO title and meta description are set under Online Store > Preferences
Want me to help you tackle any of these — like creating an About Us page or setting up your policies?
I'd love to help tackle all of that! I can't make all changes automatically, but let me work through as many as possible for you.
Create About Us page
Add content to Contact page
Set up store policies (Refund, Shipping, Privacy)
Update footer menu with key links
Set SEO title and meta description
Let me start by creating the About Us page with some fitting content for Move Bright.
It looks like the About Us page wasn't saved — did you close the form or want to make changes to the content first? Let me know and I can adjust it before you save, or we can skip ahead to another task.
Got it — let me rewrite the About Us page with a fitness and health focus for all ages and abilities!
It looks like the page was closed again without saving. A couple of things to check:
- When the page draft opens, scroll to the bottom and tap Save to confirm it
- If you'd like to tweak the content further before saving, just let me know what to change
Would you like me to try again, or would you prefer I send you the content as text so you can paste it in manually?
"Move Bright" is actually a solid name for a fitness and health brand — here's my honest take:
What works well:
- "Move" is directly tied to fitness and activity
- "Bright" adds a positive, energetic, inclusive feel
- It's short, memorable, and easy to spell
- Works well for all ages — not too niche or intimidating
When you might consider changing it:
- If you plan to go heavily into a specific niche (e.g. elderly mobility or children's fitness) where a more targeted name might resonate better
- If there are trademark conflicts in your market
My verdict: I'd keep it. It's versatile enough to grow with your brand, and changing a store name has knock-on effects — domain, SEO, branding, social handles all need updating. The effort rarely pays off unless the name is genuinely holding you back.
Want to press on with the store upgrades instead?
Great personal touches — that backstory adds real credibility! Let me try again with a more natural, human tone.
The About Us page is live! Now let me update the Contact page with some proper content.
Two pages done! Now for the store policies. Shopify can auto-generate these for you — I just need you to do this one manually as it's in Settings. Here's how:
- Tap ≡ then go to Settings > Policies
- Tap Create from template for each of the following: Refund policy, Shipping policy, and Privacy policy
- Review and edit each one to match your business, then tap Save
Let me know once that's done and I'll move on to updating your footer menu and SEO settings!
Yes, policies are important — they build trust with customers and are legally expected, especially for UK stores. Let me take you straight there.
Tap the card below to go straight to your Policies page.
Navigate to Policies
Once you're there, you'll see sections for Refund policy, Privacy policy, Terms of service, and Shipping policy. Just tap Create from template on each one — Shopify fills in a solid starting point that you can tweak to suit Move Bright. Then hit Save when done and let me know!
Here's a ready-to-use refund/return policy written for Move Bright. You can paste this straight into the Refund policy box (replacing the template if you used it), then tweak any details like timeframes if needed:
